LCDC Post-Bachelor’s Supervised Internship Program
At Angels on the Horizon Therapeutic Center, LLC, we are committed to preparing the next generation of substance use professionals through our Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) Post-Bachelor’s Supervised Internship Program. This program is designed for individuals who have completed their bachelor’s degree and are pursuing full LCDC licensure in Texas.
Our program provides structured, hands-on clinical training in alignment with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and the TAP 21 Addiction Counseling Competencies. Under the guidance of experienced, board-approved supervisors, interns gain the opportunity to develop and refine their clinical skills within a supportive, trauma-informed, and collaborative environment.
What We Offer:
Direct Clinical Supervision by experienced LCDCs and LPCs with specialized training in trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
Comprehensive Training in Evidence-Based Practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Trauma-Informed and Military-Cultural Competence Education, with opportunities to serve veterans and underserved populations.
Weekly Supervision and Didactic Training sessions that focus on ethics, documentation, treatment planning, and best practices for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Diverse Clinical Experience, including individual counseling, group facilitation, psychoeducation, and case management.
Professional Development support aimed at building confidence, competence, and readiness for independent licensure.
Our Commitment:
We believe in mentorship, professional growth, and ethical excellence. Our goal is to ensure every intern leaves this program not only meeting licensure requirements but also feeling prepared to provide compassionate, effective, and culturally competent care in the field of addiction counseling.
If you are a post-bachelor’s professional ready to take the next step toward LCDC licensure, we invite you to join our team and become part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
